about

The full on, full length, melodic electric blanket follow up to 2020's EP, There's Something Wrong With Everyone.

"Great records find a way to reach you, or so the romantics amongst us would like to think. Yet in the case of Peter Hall, that may just be the case. A social media tip-off led Shindig! to this stella offering of pure incandescent pop. Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Hall is inspired by classic ‘60s music and his vocal at times may recall the timbre of Ian Broudie, yet he’s fashioned something out there on its own with the epic Light The Stars.

The majestic ‘Cue Highlights’ or the understated, melancholic ‘The Best Idea’ reveal Hall to be a tunesmith on a par with Michael Head and Stephen Duffy. Sweeping immersive strings and glistening jangling guitars jostle with searching, introspective lyrics full of regret and hope. Anyone a sucker for big, heart-warming choruses, or timeless melodies wrapped in a pure pop production, will find much to love on this beguiling album."
