In a modern musical landscape that uses a term like "bangers" to describe the 'brilliance' of the individual digital singles that are foisted upon the public in a barrage of playlists, Nottingham based Peter Hall’s "There’s Something Wrong With Everyone" EP (January 2020) and his debut “Light The Stars” album (November 2021) provided something of an antidote to the urgent sense of immediacy that is increasingly being fostered by the "Spotify Generation".

Such 'healing' continues with the truly sublime "About Last Night" mini album, as Hall revels in a melodic indie rock that moves in the same polished circles as Subjangle labelmate Grand Drifter as well as the more recent Armstrong sound, as every note, lyric, rhythm, and aural texture just seems to have been perfectly considered to give the listener a reminder of what true songcraft can be and how precious the listening public should cling to longer format releases.

Real music for those that refuse to be consumed by the vagaries of the increasing need for 'now'.
